Md Mahfuzul Islam, a Research Assistant at Concord Stem Cell Limited, Dhaka, where I have worked since August 2024, on human Umbilical Cord-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cell (hUC-MSC)-based and cell-free therapeutics like Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) and Exosomes. His work includes culturing umbilical cord-derived MSCs, isolating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from conditioned medium, and preparing platelet-rich plasma and related blood products; He also review clinical-trial data for CAR-T/NK and cell-free cancer therapies. He hold an MSc in Biology (Molecular, Immunological, and Microbiological) from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, as a Stipendium Hungaricum scholar (2021–2023), and a BSc in Microbiology from Jagannath University, Dhaka. Alongside wet-lab work, he analyze single-cell and bulk RNA-seq data in Python and R. He has two published papers and several manuscripts under review, including two reviews on MSC-derived EVs and their miRNA cargo as diagnostic and therapeutic tools.
Research interests: iPSC, MSC-derived EVs as cancer biomarkers and cell-free therapeutics; computational analysis of cancer omics data; and AI/Deep Learning/Machine Learning applications in cancer detection, the intersection where my wet-lab background and computational skills meet.
